As a critical member of our healthcare team, you will deliver excellent nursing care to high-acuity cardiac patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment at a cardiac center of excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Provide expert nursing care to cardiac patients in a progressive care unit setting.- Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications (including heparin, Tikosyn, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, Lasix, ketamine), and manage various cardiac drips.- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.- Perform essential procedures including chest tube placements, removal of chest tubes, removal of pacer wires, and conducting 12-lead EKGs.- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient's electronic medical record.- Foster a supportive team environment and contribute to a high-energy atmosphere. Qualifications: - Current RN licensure.- CPR and ACLS certification required.- Experience in a PCU or cardiac unit is a must; candidates without this experience will not be considered.- Strong ability to manage complex patient care and a high-energy team player.- Familiarity with monitoring and managing infusions, as well as operating relevant medical equipment.
