Overview

Program Coordinator role at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC). The Program Coordinator functions as a member of the clinical and administrative leadership team in the Specialized Addiction Treatment Services (SATS). Supervises multi-disciplinary staff and provides oversight of SATS treatment services for adults; ensures compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities

Supervises staff in the Specialized Addiction Treatment Program (New Brunswick) and Horizon Program (Newark).

Provides daily supervision, administrative direction, group coverage, and clinical updates.

Directs staff regarding consumer/patient intervention through individual supervision, group supervision, team meetings, and case conferences.

Maintains confidentiality of information and adheres to defined authority and responsibility.

Monitors staff performance and conducts regular performance reviews and continuing education compliance.

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience

Master's Degree in a behavioral health field or a relevant field plus four (4) years of postgraduate experience.

Certifications/Licenses

Must possess a license to treat clients with co-occurring disorders.

Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (L.C.A.D.C.).

If you possess a degree in Social Work, active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated ability to work with clients and staff both individually and in groups.

Experience working directly with adults with severe and persistent mental illness, their families, and the agencies that serve them.

Preferred Qualifications

One year of supervisory experience preferred.

Position Details Location: Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care, New Brunswick/Piscataway, NJ. Full-time, standard hours (37.5 per week). Hybrid work arrangement may be possible per policy and FlexWork approval.
