Legal Services • Hybrid Role : The Tax Analyst will work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and clients to provide analytical support on tax-related issues within the law firm. This role involves researching tax laws, preparing tax documentation, analyzing financial data, and assisting in the development of tax strategies to ensure compliance and optimize client outcomes. Responsibilities
Conduct research on federal, state, and local tax regulations and legislation to support legal cases and client advisory services. Analyze financial records, tax returns, and other documents to identify tax liabilities, deductions, credits, or potential risks. Assist attorneys in preparing tax-related legal documents, including briefs, memos, and filings. Collaborate with legal teams to develop tax-efficient strategies for clients, such as businesses, individuals, or estates. Review and interpret tax codes, rulings, and case law to provide insights for ongoing matters. Support clients during tax audits, investigations, or disputes by preparing data and documentation. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate updates to attorneys and clients as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (advanced degrees or certifications like CPA or Enrolled Agent are a plus). 2+ years of experience in tax analysis, tax preparation, or a related role (experience in a law firm or legal environment preferred). Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Proficiency in tax software (e.g., TurboTax, CCH, or Thomson Reuters) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Compensation
