This key leader will serve as a passionate advocate and community influencer, responsible for raising the organization's profile and shaping public policy to enhance business attraction and retention in the region. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, robust business development capabilities, and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills. Key responsibilities include: Strategic leadership and vision Business development efforts Engaging with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds Organizational management Policy advocacy and outreach The successful candidate will exhibit a proven record of progressive leadership and outstanding relationship-building abilities while maintaining a non-political stance. Responsibilities will also encompass overseeing all facets of the organization, including strategic planning, board relations, staff leadership, and financial management. Applicants should possess: A minimum of 10 years' experience in leadership roles, ideally in economic development, site selection, or business expansion A Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred); CEcD is a plus Exceptional communication skills Strong business and financial acumen A proven track record in generating revenue for priority initiatives A commitment to integrity, ethics, and inclusivity A deep understanding of modern economic and community development practices The President & CEO will be expected to lead with a focus on the long-term sustainability and growth of the region.
