Industry Hospital & Health Care Type Non Profit About the Role We are seeking a passionate and driven Assistant Vice President of Fundraising and Development to become a vital member of our senior management team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead our fundraising efforts, with a strong emphasis on enhancing private contributions through innovative strategic planning and leadership. You will lead a dynamic team of 8-10 front-line fundraising professionals, providing essential mentorship, training, and support across all areas of fundraising, including major gifts, corporate and foundation gifts, planned giving, annual giving, and donor relations. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding gifts to help us meet and exceed our fundraising goals. Working closely with the Vice President for Development, you will establish and achieve measurable fundraising objectives while actively engaging in donor management processes. To thrive in this role, candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree (Master's degree preferred) and possess a minimum of 10 years of professional fundraising experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills in managing a fundraising team, with a proven track record in cultivating, soliciting, and closing major gifts. Experience in academic healthcare is a plus, as well as exceptional project management, technology utilization, and data-informed decision-making abilities. Furthermore, excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, alongside a keen understanding of current best practices in fundraising.
