Overview

The HR Generalist will serve as a strategic partner and primary HR liaison, providing comprehensive support across all areas of Human Resources. This role combines day-to-day HR operations with opportunities to contribute to long-term strategic initiatives that enhance employee engagement, strengthen compliance, and promote a thriving workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted partner to employees and leaders, providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and best practices.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for staff, supporting them with everyday HR needs and ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • Manage the employee experience from initial onboarding through offboarding, ensuring smooth, compliant, and engaging processes at every stage.
  • Oversee HR systems and processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient handling of employee data, changes, and reporting requirements.
  • Administer and support company benefit programs, including enrollment, changes, and regulatory reporting.
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims, ensuring timely reporting, documentation, and coordination with all involved parties.
  • Manage leaves of absence, including communication with employees, documentation, and compliance with applicable laws and policies.
  • Coordinate training, performance review processes, and employee check-ins to promote ongoing development and engagement.
  • Partner with leadership to identify workforce needs, support operational goals, and foster a culture of accountability, recognition, and collaboration.
  • Serve as a resource for technology and tools that enhance the employee experience and HR service delivery.

Development & Strategic Focus

In addition to core responsibilities, the HR Generalist will actively develop skills in:

  • Advanced HR compliance and best practices.
  • Strategic thinking and long-term workforce planning.
  • Employee engagement and experience design.
  • Leadership presence and influence within the HR team and across operational leadership groups.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a multi-site or service-based organization.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms (ADP experience preferred) and related technology tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

This is a full-time, in-person, salaried position based at the corporate office in Sarasota, FL.

Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually
