Position Summary:
We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented HR Generalist with experience in payroll processing and human resources. This role will manage payroll processing and support day-to-day human resources activities to ensure smooth business operations. The ideal candidate is organized, can maintain confidentiality, and capable of balancing multiple responsibilities across payroll functions and HR.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Duties:
Maintain employee time clock setup and training
Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees (CS Accounting)
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with tax regulations and labor laws
Handle payroll deductions, benefits contributions and garnishments
Prepare payroll reports and ensure timely filing of payroll taxes
Address employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies
Human Resources (HR) Duties:
Administer employee lifecycle activities, including recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and offboarding (iSolved)
Maintain and update employee records and HR database, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Support employee relations efforts, helping address employee concerns and assist in conflict resolution with support of senior HR consultant
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies
Coordinate benefits administration - open enrollment, COBRA, 401K and employee leave (FMLA)
Support training, development, and performance management processes
Assist with routine HR reporting and metrics (turnover, headcount, diversity, etc.)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration is preferred
2+ years of experience in HR, benefit administration platforms, payroll, and/or accounting roles
Knowledge of Louisiana employment laws and payroll regulations
Experience with HRIS systems, payroll software, and accounting tools (CS Accounting, iSolved)
Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
