About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to lead its donor development team in fundraising efforts that align with the organization's mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing donor development strategies, managing a team of major gift officers, and overseeing all activities related to fundraising, including gift administration, prospect research, and special events. This role requires a servant leader with a strong emphasis on relationship building, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively to achieve organizational goals. The Vice President of Development will also be expected to maintain the integrity of the company's fundraising systems and data, and to ensure that all donor interactions are in line with the company's values of excellence, authenticity, collaboration, and humility.
Applicants for the Vice President of Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, a minimum of 7 years' donor development experience, and at least 5 years' of management experience. Proficiency in donor database systems, particularly Raiser’s Edge, is essential. The role requires a candidate with a vital relationship with Jesus Christ and active participation in a local church. The ideal candidate will have a background in the company's fundraising philosophy, which is deeply rooted in the belief that fundraising is a form of ministry and is focused on being donor-centric, relational, and rooted in a sense of abundance and obedience.
