Job Summary
The Radiology Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality images of patients' internal anatomy to aid physicians in diagnosing various health conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Operate radiographic equipment to capture detailed and contrast-rich images. Gather comprehensive medical histories from patients prior to examinations. Foster effective communication with patients and colleagues alike. Implement radiation safety protocols to safeguard staff and patients. Maintain x-ray equipment by performing routine maintenance and documenting results. Ensure accurate patient and study information for billing and RIS/PACS purposes. Pursue additional responsibilities as directed by supervisors or lead technologists. Requirements
Hold a degree from an accredited American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) program. Possess a current validated Registry from ARRT in Radiology Technology (R), (CT) preferred. Competencies
Proficiency in RIS systems. Knowledge of PACS systems.
