About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide strategic leadership and direction for the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing the Society's mission, vision, and strategic plan, and will oversee a team of approximately 90 staff, maintaining a strong organizational culture, and managing a substantial budget. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors to forge the strategic direction, engage with members and stakeholders, and ensure the Society's governance, programs, and staff align with the strategic plan. Key responsibilities include fiscal management, operational optimization, administrative and staff management, and external relations to represent the Society and the field of infectious diseases.
The ideal CEO for the company will be a mission-oriented, business-savvy executive with a proven track record in leading organizations of similar or larger size and complexity, particularly in the healthcare sector. They should have a minimum of ten years' experience in association management or senior leadership, with a focus on growth strategies, financial acumen, and a strong background in fundraising. The role requires a leader with strong executive team management experience, the ability to build and motivate a collaborative staff, and a commitment to the values of the organization. The candidate should be a servant leader, with a demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and the protection of public health values, and possess the agility to navigate healthcare and policy trends. A bachelor's degree is required, with an advanced degree being desirable.
