About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP/Chief Behavioral Health Officer to lead the strategic planning and major initiatives for the Behavioral Health Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and overseeing the standards and model of care across the behavioral health continuum, including all service lines and specialty disciplines. This role involves a significant leadership component, including participation in organizational strategic planning, performance improvement, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The VP/Chief Behavioral Health Officer will also be involved in the integration of traditional and non-traditional healing practices and will provide direct clinical care as a practicing psychiatrist or behavioral health clinician.
Applicants must be board-certified in psychiatry or independently licensed as a behavioral health clinician in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, with a strong preference for those with over 10 years of experience in mid- to upper-management positions. The role requires excellent leadership, communication, and management skills, as well as a commitment to the values of the organization, including cultural humility and patient-centered care. The VP/Chief Behavioral Health Officer will be expected to promote a sense of teamwork, uphold the organization's standards of conduct, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, barrier-free care. Responsibilities also include staff supervision, training, and development, as well as participation in various departmental and organizational activities.
