Job Responsibilities About Pee Dee Regional Center Pee Dee Regional Center is an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF-IID) of the South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD), Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (OIDD) located in Florence, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Job Functions: This position conducts reviews of all cases of abuse, neglect, exploitation, deaths and critical incidents. Submits required reports/notifications in compliance with agency and Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) requirements. Manages consumer admission/discharge process at a DDSN Operated ICF. Functions as the liaison, in conjunction with Facility Administrator and Assistant Facility Administrator, with consumer families to address concerns and complaints so that resolution is achieved. Coordinates onsite Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation (ANE) investigations with Risk Management, SLED and Long-Term Care Ombudsman for people served by the South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD), Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (OIDD). Conducts onsite Critical Incident Investigations, death reports, and other incidents as needed for people served by the South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD), Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (OIDD). Serves as the Abuse Coordinator and is the facility's contact for Risk Management, Law Enforcement, Ombudsman, Disability Rights SC, and Court System. Serves as the chairperson for the Abuse Prevention Committee. Trains new employees on abuse, improper conduct, consumer rights and confidentiality. Serves as the Consumer Advocate for the facility. Coordinates admissions discharges, and internal placement of all consumers of the facility. Participates in appropriate committee functions, to include Executive Committee, and Risk Management Performs and/or participates in activities/job duties as assigned by the Facility Administrator.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor's degree and 1 year of relevant program experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism.
