The Electrical Commissioning Technician is responsible for the successful planning, execution, documentation, and delivery of electrical commissioning activities.

This role ensures that all systems are installed and operate in accordance with the design intent, client standards, and applicable codes. The technician plays a key role in supporting operational readiness, integrated systems testing, and turnover to facility operations teams. Responsibilities:

Develop and implement detailed electrical commissioning plans in alignment with ASHRAE, LEED, and client-specific requirements. Review construction documents, specifications, sequence of operations, and IFC drawings to confirm design intent and ensure complete testing coverage. Perform installation verification and field inspections to confirm compliance with codes and design accuracy. Lead Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) and Functional Acceptance Testing (FAT), issuing Green Tag certifications upon successful completion. Participate in Integrated Systems Testing (IST) to validate proper system interaction, including load testing, power quality analysis, and sequence validation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date commissioning records using tools like CxAlloy and Procore; track deficiencies and ensure timely resolution. Produce and organize commissioning documentation such as test reports, non-conformance logs (NCLs), and owner turnover packages. Coordinate daily with MEP inspectors, construction personnel, vendors, and facilities teams to ensure alignment and smooth delivery of commissioning milestones. Facilitate and lead training sessions for facilities operations teams and support post-occupancy commissioning, including LEED documentation and system optimization. Perform other related duties as assigned to support project delivery and team success.
