Senior Project Engineer
to manage large-scale BESS projects in the Midwest. Based in Chicago, you will work with
MISO and PJM
interconnection teams, state regulators, and local permitting authorities to deliver industry-leading energy storage facilities. Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the design of BESS systems from initial concept through commissioning. Manage compliance with MISO/PJM interconnection requirements and Illinois electrical codes. Direct technical reviews of engineering drawings, specifications, and vendor submittals. Support procurement in evaluating and selecting equipment suppliers. Coordinate construction support, QA/QC processes, and technical problem-solving on site. Mentor and develop junior engineers to enhance team capabilities. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred). 7+ years
in power systems or renewable energy engineering, with
5+ years
in BESS. PE license in Illinois or ability to obtain. Knowledge of high-voltage interconnection, inverter technology, and BMS systems. Willingness to travel to project sites across Illinois and neighboring states. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with MISO and PJM market integration. Track record delivering large-scale BESS projects on time and on budget. Seniority level
