As a Senior Lead Software Engineer within the Commercial & Investment Bank, Real Time Payments team, you’ll drive significant business impact through deep technical expertise and problem-solving across multiple technologies and applications. Responsibilities
Regularly provide technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus Actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies Contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and Java Spring Framework Proven expertise in architecting and building low-latency, high-throughput enterprise applications Experience in developing and maintaining distributed systems capable of handling high volumes of data and transactions Strong understanding of consistency and availability trade-offs Proficiency in building cloud-native applications on AWS Hands-on experience in developing and deploying complex systems with high scalability requirements Expertise in performance tuning and optimization Experience with event-driven architecture, enterprise-grade APIs, and streaming platforms like Kafka Proficiency in building enterprise-grade UI/UX using Angular or React Strong leadership skills with experience in leading teams on large, mission-critical platforms Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Experience implementing distributed caching solutions (Gemfire, Redis, Hazelcast, or similar) Experience in building payment processing systems and protocols is advantageous Federal Deposit Insurance Act
