Hecker Fink LLP The firm seeks a Business Development and Marketing Manager to generate, implement, and support a broad range of firm and attorney marketing and business development activities across our three offices in New York, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles. The firm focuses on commercial litigation, white-collar defense and internal investigations, employment and discrimination, complex regulatory and securities matters, and a pioneering public interest practice. Base pay range:

$125,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Location/Schedule: Washington, DC area or willing to relocate; hybrid position with standard business hours (9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday). Work closely with the Director of Business Development and Marketing to advance a proactive marketing and business development program that supports strategic objectives and aligns with firm objectives. Support the tracking and execution of individual business development plans, ensuring key milestones are defined and aligned with the firm’s goals. Partner with the Director to develop customized, compelling pitch materials and RFP responses tailored to specific client opportunities. Develop and maintain marketing collateral, website content, practice descriptions, attorney bios, and other client-facing materials; ensure content is reviewed and updated to reflect current capabilities and priorities. Conduct strategic research on prospective clients, market trends, competitors, and practice developments to generate actionable insights for targeted efforts. Maintain and monitor business development activity through the firm’s CRM platform; ensure accurate data capture, reporting, and adoption across the firm. Lead the preparation and submission of legal directories and industry awards (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500, Benchmark Litigation) and other recognitions. Oversee department projects with deliverables and resource requirements; track progress and address roadblocks. Support the team in managing lateral integration and onboarding to ensure a seamless transition with firm priorities. Collaborate on planning and execution of internal and external events (invitation lists, collateral, attendee tracking, on-site management, follow-up). Identify, evaluate, and recommend external sponsorship and speaking opportunities that align with firm goals. Other responsibilities as needed. Qualifications

Education and Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of BD and marketing experience in a law firm serving litigation teams; Bachelor’s degree required. J.D. or advanced degree a plus. Knowledge and Skills: Basic understanding of CRM software (hands-on with InterAction a plus); familiarity with event planning; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, web editing, and email marketing software. Clear Communication and Attention to Detail: Excellent written and oral communication; ability to build relationships with attorneys and professionals at all levels; strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Ownership, Initiative, and Teamwork: Self-starter with ownership of projects; able to work independently and within a team; strong customer-service orientation. Organization and Project Management: Able to balance tasks of varying urgency; works well under pressure to meet deadlines. Flexibility: Available after hours as needed; adaptable to changing priorities; collaborative approach. Confidentiality: Adheres to firm policies on confidential data and matters. The successful candidate will be based in the Washington, DC area or willing to relocate and will be available to work 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This is a hybrid position. Other information
