We are looking for a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our team in Savannah, Georgia. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a vital role in managing operations, supervising staff, and supporting various tasks. Responsibilities:
• Oversee operations, including scheduling staff, interns, and volunteers 30 days in advance.
• Train and onboard new associates, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Monitor staff productivity by setting goals, tracking metrics, and reporting updates to management.
• Address staffing issues in collaboration with management and Human Resources, enforcing compliance with institutional policies.
• Conduct facility and operational audits to ensure processes and procedures meet institutional needs.
• Collaborate with management to maintain quality and productivity standards for reference services.
• Proven experience supervising staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with cataloging standards and reference services in a library or archival setting.
• Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence to work effectively in a demanding environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Proficiency in administrative tasks such as data entry, answering inbound calls, and receptionist duties.
• Knowledge of collections management processes, including inventory and deaccessioning.
• Adaptability and a self-starter mindset with a commitment to supporting institutional goals.
