Director of Operations – PS MIA

— This is a leadership position at PS MIA. The Director of Operations will lead the Operations Department to ensure flawless execution of all PS service and brand standards. Assisting the Managing Director in strategic thinking, planning and execution, this role will also oversee coaching and development of all associates and assist with customer service recovery. This position reports to the Managing Director PS MIA. Responsibilities & Expectations

Leads the entirety of the Operations department at PS MIA. Responsible for recruitment and development of the Operations department along with ongoing succession planning for positions across the department. Develop, coach, and empower a team of hospitality professionals to challenge the status quo. Proactively identify areas of opportunity to set and maintain consistent property and company standards. Champion training and learning and development programs in partnership with Training and HR departments. Lead, develop, and mentor Operations Leaders and Operations department. Provide strategic leadership with full P&L ownership, driving business growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation. Ongoing evaluation of staff performance, identifying areas of improvement, and designing and delivering employee feedback. Manage performance of the day-to-day operations and its departments for service quality. Ensure that the Operations department adheres to and maintains SOP and service standards. Collaborate effectively with various departments and leaders to support day-to-day operations and terminal-level projects. Effectively manage PS relationships with TSA, CBP, and other government organizations. Effectively manage PS relationships with partnered airlines and operational third-party vendors for services such as luggage handling, valet, car washing, etc. Lead service recovery opportunities. Review EAST reports, making recommendations for remedial action and process improvements. Work in collaboration with Head of Training and Head of Member Experience for ongoing associate training and development programs. Develop department training and operational SOPs in alignment with member feedback. Identify service and training needs. Be a champion of our company values. Requirements

At least 5 years of senior management experience with multiple ancillary departments. Experience as an Assistant Director of Operations or above. Ability to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge with Customs and Escort icons. Able to take direction well and apply feedback. Executes current role and evolving standards with precision. Excellent communication skills with members, employees and our partners (Airlines, TSA, CBP etc.). Strong written and verbal aptitude to guide operational staff in a positive and effective manner. Identifying potential problems and points of friction and finding solutions to maximize efficiency and revenue. PS is a 24-hour facility and requires full schedule flexibility for all positions within our operations departments, including weekends, holidays, and early morning/late evening shifts.
