Portland Community College is seeking a dynamic, visionary Director of Admissions & Recruitment to join our Enrollment Management leadership team. This position provides college-wide leadership for new student recruitment and outreach, as well as direct oversight and supervision of the Admissions & Recruitment, Admissions Operations, Health Admissions, and Pathway Recruitment teams. The successful candidate will be creative and action-oriented, understanding the unique enrollment challenges facing community colleges and the barriers that our students face. The Director will leverage technology in our operations, while centering our most marginalized students in our programming, outreach, and communications to help us achieve our vision of equitable student success. Reporting to the Dean of Enrollment Management, the Director serves as a key leader for Strategic Enrollment Management at PCC. This position works closely and collaboratively with leaders and teams across the college to achieve collective enrollment goals. In this role, the Director will be responsible for the continued work of shaping and refining our recruitment and outreach efforts. PCC serves nearly 60,000 full and part-time students across a large and diverse service area, with four campuses and multiple education centers. Success Criteria Responsibilities

Demonstrated successful experience leading an admissions and recruitment team to meet institutional recruitment goals using targeted strategies to reach diverse audiences such as middle and high school students, working adults, and traditionally under-represented ethnic and racial groups. Proven experience in working with a diverse set of stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement comprehensive, integrated student recruitment plans that encompass a variety of educational offerings, such as pre-college, career-technical, transfer, and online programs. Ability to apply initiative, creativity, and systems thinking to develop and refine strategies with an eye to continuous improvement and seeking to incorporate new best practices as they emerge. Proven experience as a collaborative leader; ability to mentor, guide, train and motivate staff and partners to meet college and department goals and build on past successes. Trusts and empowers their team to assume delegated responsibilities, identifies strengths and weaknesses and commits to developing staff skills to contribute to the team’s overall goals. Demonstrated experience strategically using and/or implementing the use of an admissions CRM system (Slate preferred). Ability to effectively lead and communicate in a multi-campus environment with a high amount of change and successful experience managing accountability in dotted line relationships and influencing without authority. Demonstrated ability to address equity and inclusion as a priority in admissions and recruitment work. Awareness and understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing community colleges in student admissions and recruitment, emerging effective strategies and tactics, as well as best practices. Ability to synthesize, interpret, and report Enrollment Funnel data leveraging internal and external sources, CRM systems, and other student information systems. Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree

in Student Affairs, Student Personnel Administration, Student Affairs, Education, Public Administration or other related field. Five (5) years of progressively responsible, professional level experience in higher education, in admissions, recruitment, outreach and marketing, including two (2) years of supervisory experience. OR

Bachelor’s degree

in Student Affairs, Student Personnel Administration, Education, Public Administration or related field AND seven (7) years of progressively responsible, professional level experience in higher education, in admissions, recruitment, outreach and marketing, including two (2) years of supervisory experience. OR

Bachelor’s degree

in any field AND nine (9) years of progressively responsible, professional level experience in higher education, in admissions, recruitment, outreach and marketing, including two (2) years of supervisory experience. OR eleven (11) years of progressively responsible, professional level experience in higher education, in admissions, recruitment, outreach and marketing, including two (2) years of supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications
