Enterprise Architect
Experience with DoDAF architecture models. The role supports a team of architects in identifying, researching, and modeling business processes, systems, and data views. This work informs the definition of functional, business, and information/data requirements to support the design, development, testing, evaluation, and implementation of enterprise business applications and capabilities. The Enterprise Architect will collaborate with stakeholders across various levelsincluding leadership, technical and functional management, and subject matter expertsto build detailed process views that support transformation initiatives. Responsibilities include documenting findings and recommendations using technical reports, business process models, and architectural views to ensure alignment between business processes and IT systems. Essential Job Functions: Review and analyze existing system process models, interfaces, and architecture artifacts. Conduct technical, architectural, and business research related to IT access across Air Force missions and functions. Facilitate SME interviews/workshops for business process re-engineering and gap identification. Research applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to business process execution and compliance. Apply knowledge of Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA), Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA), DoDAF 2.02, JCIDS, JCAs, and DoD Information Enterprise Architecture (DoDIEA). Understand Reference Architecture, Information Support Planning (ISP), and certification processes. Develop and document process models and architecture artifacts using accepted modeling standards. Perform peer reviews of modeling and architecture artifacts. Prepare written and/or briefed reports to support activities. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 59 years of experience in enterprise architecture or related fields, or 15+ years of broad experience in business process improvement, modeling, requirements analysis, reference architecture, or enterprise architecture. Required Skills: Strong analytical and research skills Effective presentation and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels Familiarity with structured modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN, IDEF, UML) Application-level understanding of DoDAF Experience with Microsoft Visio, System Architect, and ARIS Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint Excellent communication, analytical, project management, and time-management skills Knowledge of Air Force logistics systems Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry a laptop, peripherals, and documents Regularly required to sit, use hands, talk, and hear Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Must occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds Specific vision abilities include close vision Location: Dayton, OH Security Clearance: Secret Travel: Up to 10% Work Environment: Office-based work environment Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities Equal Opportunity Statement: This employer is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
