Software Test Engineer
About the Role
Join our dynamic engineering team to develop cutting-edge software and hardware solutions for testing communication electronics and equipment. You'll work closely with customers to understand requirements and define automated test scenarios that ensure reliability and performance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex problems and has a strong foundation in both hardware and software testing. Key Responsibilities
Analyze OEM documentation, schematics, and unit-under-test (UUT) behavior to define test requirements Assist in designing wiring harnesses and accessories, including schematics, wire lists, and BOMs Source components and materials for test setups Develop automated test programs to apply stimuli and measure UUT outputs Use revision control tools to manage source code and documentation Execute manual and automated tests to validate functionality, performance, and reliability Investigate test results to identify root causes of failures Collaborate with customers and internal teams as needed Required Qualifications
Current clearance or ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance 3+ years of experience with object-oriented programming (C#, C++, or similar) Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, generators, oscilloscopes, multimeters) Ability to interpret electronic schematics and assembly drawings Strong experience in software development and automated testing Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Understanding of networking protocols like MESH and ADHOC Preferred Qualifications
Experience with tactical or airborne radio logistics Proficiency in MATLAB and LabVIEW Knowledge of RF measurements and software-defined architectures Strong analytical skills and experience with root cause analysis Ability to create technical documentation (test plans, validation reports, etc.) Familiarity with system internals and remote radio programming Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $48.00/hr.
