Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time School Social Worker position is available in Gurnee, IL, offering the chance to support K-12 students in their social-emotional development within a vibrant community setting. This contract role provides an opportunity to work collaboratively with a dedicated team focused on student success and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide social-emotional support and counseling to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and community resources to address student needs
  • Develop and implement interventions to promote positive social behaviors and academic success
  • Conduct assessments and advocate for students mental health and well-being
  • Maintain accurate case records and comply with all relevant policies and regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Illinois State Licensure as a School Social Worker (PEL) required
  • Experience or a strong interest in working with K-12 students in an educational setting
  • Demonstrated passion for fostering social-emotional growth in children and adolescents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
