Staff Accountant
LHH has partnered with a private entertainment and hospitality company in Scottsdale, AZ, who is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. As the Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for various financial tasks, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, financial reporting, and journal entries. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, intercompany transfers, exceptional analytical skills, and MUST be degreed specifically in accounting. Additional proficiency in using QuickBooks Online as well as software like Excel is also required.
Responsibilities:
- Post financial transactions and categorize them by assets, liabilities, and expenses.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Analyze and verify revenue from various sources.
- Calculate and enter revenue-related expense entries
- Assist in preparing financial statements such as balance sheets and income statements.
- Generate operational reports like bad debt and flash reports
- Respond to client inquiries via email or phone.
- Coordinate with internal departments to retrieve or verify financial data
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- MUST HAVE QuickBooks Online experience
- MUST HAVE heavy Excel experience (VLOOKUPS AND PIVOT TABLES ARE A MUST!)
- Ideally will be immediately available.
Pay DOE - MUST BE degreed in Accounting - no exceptions (business and finance do not qualify).
Between $28-32 per hour.
