We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our Client's Commercial Construction team in Brooklyn, New York. This role requires a skilled individual who excels in organization, communication, and multitasking within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Assistant Project Manager will play a critical role in supporting construction projects from pre-construction through completion.


Responsibilities:

• Review architectural and engineering plans, specifications, and selections to issue requests for proposals (RFPs) to subcontractors and trade partners.

• Evaluate and compare bids, preparing detailed bid packages and updating project budgets and schedules.

• Manage permitting, insurance, and site safety coordination with the compliance team.

• Oversee sample selections and secure client approvals for project materials.

• Collaborate with the onsite Project Manager to ensure seamless communication, daily logs, follow-ups, and project tracking using Procore.

• Maintain organization and accuracy of plans, submittals, and shop drawings in Procore and onsite.

• Generate purchase orders and change orders following approval from the Project Manager.

• Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure timely invoicing and payment processing.

• Prepare payment requests and collect monthly invoices from subcontractors.

• Record meeting minutes and distribute agendas to relevant stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in construction or real estate development.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to plan and act proactively for tasks 90+ days in advance.
• Availability to work on-site Monday through Friday.
• Preferred qualifications include a degree in construction management, Procore certification, and familiarity with Jonas Premier.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and multi-disciplinary environment.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
