Overview

PART-TIME CLEANING ASSOCIATE role at The TJX Companies, Inc. (Marshalls Store 0664, Deerfield, IL). This position focuses on maintaining a clean and organized store environment with emphasis on floor care. Starting pay range: $15.00 – $15.50 per hour. This role involves operating the scrubber and buffer, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The associate will adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained to support multiple store areas as needed.

Location: USA Marshalls Store 0664, Deerfield, IL. Employment type: Part-time. Seniority level: Entry level.

Responsibilities

• Operate floor care equipment, including scrubber and buffer, and perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming to maintain floor cleanliness
• Dust, clean, and spot-clean glass and windows; uphold all cleanliness and recovery standards across the store (Sales Floor, Backroom, Associate Lounge, Restrooms)
• Follow health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End
• Cross-train in other store areas (Backroom, Front End, Sales Floor) to support business needs
• Support Front End coverage and uphold merchandising signage standards
• Participate in store recovery activities and maintain a safe environment
• Adhere to operational and loss prevention controls, including shrink reduction
• Communicate effectively with management and associates
• Adhere to labor laws, meal and break period policies; maintain safety awareness
• Other duties as assigned
