Would you like to do this using the latest cloud computing technologies? Do you have a knack for helping these groups understand application architectures and integration approaches, and the consultative skills to launch a project on a trajectory to success? Must be willing to travel within the US and Overseas 35%. Responsibilities
Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; define implementation architectures, respond to RFPs, develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and how applications and services are constructed on the AWS platform. Serve as a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services; provide thoughtful technical design and sensitivity to customer needs in the Defense markets. Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solution architect community; collaborate with and educate some of the brightest technical minds across enterprise architecture. Help shape and deliver a strategy to build broad use of AWS services with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers. Communicate effectively with end users and developers, including executive level stakeholders or clients, about architecture and design decisions. Basic Qualifications
8+ years of experience in technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics). 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures. 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph. Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience. Experience working with end user or developer communities and communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders. Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using Linux/Unix and Windows, with recommendations on server, load balancing, high availability/ disaster recovery, and storage architectures. Web services development/deployment experience, cloud computing. Advisory/Consulting experience with Defense Department customers. Additional Information
