Responsibilities
Own technical engagement and drive ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
Define implementation architectures and respond to RFPs.
Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and the broader customer application landscape.
Serve as a subject‑matter expert on security for customer applications and services.
Provide thoughtful technical design and sensitivity to customer needs in the Defense markets.
Lead efforts to capture and share best‑practice knowledge within the AWS solution architect community.
Assist Army customers in achieving their cloud goals by listening to requirements, analyzing and determining potential solutions.
Travel within the U.S. and overseas up to 35% of the time.
Qualifications
U.S. Citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance.
8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructure.
10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industry.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of specific technology domain experience.
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance of Secret or above.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
Experience working with end‑user or developer communities.
Strong communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive stakeholders.
Architecting infrastructure solutions on Linux/Unix and Windows, with recommendations on server, load balancing, HA/DR, and storage architectures.
Executive speaking and presentation skills.
Technical – web services development/deployment experience, cloud computing.
Operational – website/services operations, management, and security.
Economic and business – RFP/acquisition support, technical architecture, market trend analysis, cost‑benefit analysis.
Advisory/consulting experience with Defense Department customers.
