Base pay range
$50.00/hr - $55.00/hr Matlen Silver is actively recruiting for an Application Support Engineer Consultant to work for our client's production support team in Plano, TX to provide technical support for Big Data (Hadoop), ETL (Informatica), and Business Intelligence technologies. This includes responding to issues related to Problem/Incident Management, Release/Deployment, Operational Readiness, Application Monitoring, Production Governance related to issues. This role is a hybrid work model that requires 3 days onsite per week in the client's Plano, TX office. Responsibilities Provides monitoring and support for triaging application problems and coordinating with various support teams across the organization including activities related to application incident and problem management. Performs root cause analysis and communicates with the line of business and management the overall status and health of the application throughout the support process. Looks for areas of improvement in monitoring, application stability, and speed of determining root cause. Performs troubleshooting, analysis, research and resolution using advanced query and scripting skills. Works closely with Technology Infrastructure Teams, Development & Testing Teams in supporting Integrated / Independent releases, software/hardware upgrades, server upgrades.
Desired Experience / Qualifications
5+ years of relevant IT experience with exposure to Level two production support tasks. Experience with Oracle/PL SQL, Unix/Linux, Autosys, JIL script, Windows networking basics. Knowledge in Informatica, Hadoop, BI reporting tools (preferred). Understanding of Incident, Problem, Change management. Experience with on-call support for triaging problems and coordinating with support teams for incident and problem management.
