JOB SUMMARY
The Field Project Manager will manage, develop, and implement projects of varying complexity and size within the assigned functional area. This role partners with business stakeholders to ensure successful project completion. The position will be based in the Des Moines, IA area and requires prior construction project management experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead multiple projects from inception to completion.
- Facilitate project planning sessions with internal stakeholders to determine scope and objectives.
- Work with business stakeholders to establish project performance goals, design project plans, develop timelines, identify milestones, and track performance.
- Identify, track, and resolve project issues.
- Monitor and communicate project status to the project team and stakeholders.
- Plan and monitor project budgets, conduct research and analysis, and provide input into project plans and timelines.
- Manage project risks and use quality tools to identify areas of risk and develop solutions.
- Document and share team learnings to enhance project success.
- Maintain project notes, databases, and other records; communicate regularly with the Project Sponsor and stakeholders.
- Identify and assign appropriate resources to accomplish tasks and coach team members through various stages of the project.
- Provide developmental feedback to team members.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Proven experience in construction project management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience managing field-based projects in the Des Moines, IA area.
EDUCATION DETAILS
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
5 to 10 years of relevant project management experience.
