Tesla . Tesla is seeking an exceptional Global Supply Manager (GSM) to lead audio sourcing for our transformative products. You will develop, refine, and execute sourcing roadmaps for speakers and their critical subcomponents and materials. By ensuring access to strategic partners at competitive terms and costs, you will help commercialize tomorrow's innovations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in sourcing, including contract manufacturing and OEM/ODM players in the audio space, mechanical fabrication, and rare earth supply chains. You will report to the Supply Chain Group Manager and serve as a key sourcing partner for Tesla’s engineering groups. Through robust supplier and cross-functional collaboration, you will drive cost, quality, and delivery performance and continuously optimize total cost of ownership in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. What You’ll Do
Own the RFx Process: Lead end-to-end RFx cycle, including preparing and issuing RFQs to potential manufacturing and supply partners; analyze responses; negotiate for optimal terms; seek internal approvals; and nominate partners that meet Tesla’s strategic objectives Collaborate on Product Launches: Work with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to orchestrate New Product Introductions (NPI) and scale to mass production Build Category Strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies to meet long-term supply chain objectives and inform executive-level decisions Become a Category Expert: Understand the supply base, fabrication and assembly processes, materials, lead times, global trends, and technologies to enable proactive decision-making Assess and Mitigate Risks: Evaluate global supply chain risks and develop robust contingency plans for high-volume production Contract Management: Ensure NDAs, terms and conditions, piece price agreements, and related contracts are in place before initiating business Develop Supplier Performance Metrics: Establish KPIs and monitoring to gain visibility into trends, risks, and opportunities What You’ll Bring
Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent 3+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement with a focus on audio speakers, electromechanical, mechanical, or electronics manufacturing Strong data-driven decision making, problem solving and analytical skills Proven ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with business goals and deliver measurable impact Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence across teams Experience cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, finance, and legal Ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships and strategic collaboration Experience managing core speaker manufacturing, material planning, strategic sourcing, inventory control, should-cost analysis, and risk management Deep understanding of speaker manufacturing processes (magnet, subassemblies, final assembly) Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with tight deadlines Benefits & Compensation
