Major Duties (Job Description)

  • You will oversee the daily operations of the Department, supervise selected staff employees, and coordinate with Division Operations Deputies, all under the direct supervision and guidance of the Deputy Department Head.
  • You will counsel and train Department staff, actively supporting EEO programs, and ensuring compliance with regulations in such areas as finance, property management, occupational safety, environmental and security.
  • You will draft and promulgate policies and procedures; establish policy and directing the technical -and programmatic allocations of Department facilities, managing the Department's Academic Program.
  • You will coordinate Department Integrated Product Teams (IPT's) dealing with operational and personnel matters; recommending policy and directing Information Technology (IT) network resources.
  • You will establish direction and policy for employee award; resolving Department personnel issues; and reviewing and providing oversight of efforts in organization and business process improvement initiatives.

Qualification Summary

NM-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band NM-04 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assists with drafting or analyzing policies/procedures and overseeing allocation of resources and/or administrative processes within an RDT&E organization; establishing direction and/or policy for employee personnel within the department and/or provides oversight of efforts in the organization and business improvement initiatives; and lead and participate in Department and Center level efforts to identify and implement solutions that improve operations and procedures. NM-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band NM-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assists with drafting or analyzing policies/procedures and overseeing allocation of resources and/or administrative processes within an RDT&E organization; and assists with establishing direction and/or policy for employee personnel within the department and/or provides oversight of efforts in the organization and business improvement initiatives. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. Compensation:
$101,234-$195,200 per year
