Estimator Position
We are looking for a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team in Fairfield, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in bookkeeping, and supporting construction-related accounting processes. Your expertise in handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations will be essential to maintaining smooth financial operations. Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for the company, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely invoice handling and payment reconciliation. Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial transactions. Utilize QuickBooks to oversee bookkeeping tasks and generate financial reports. Collaborate with the construction team to ensure accurate project cost tracking and reporting. Monitor budgets and expenses, identifying discrepancies and addressing them promptly. Provide support during audits by organizing and presenting financial documentation. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry-specific accounting practices and standards. Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and team members regarding financial matters. Assist in streamlining financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Requirements: Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management within the construction or contractor industry. Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software. Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Experience conducting bank reconciliations with attention to detail. Familiarity with construction project cost tracking and reporting. Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
