$ 45,000 - $ 55,000 / Year Location: Jeffersonville, Indiana Type: Permanent Industry: Accounting & Finance We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage incoming payments, oversee collections, and maintain accurate documentation of credit and debit memos. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the financial health of the organization by maintaining timely and accurate receivables records. Key Responsibilities:

Cash Handling & Payment Processing Accurately record and apply customer payments via checks, ACH, wire transfers, and other methods. Reconcile daily cash receipts and ensure proper allocation to customer accounts. Monitor and resolve discrepancies in payment applications. Collections Management Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts. Communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances and negotiate payment arrangements. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing disputes and escalate issues as needed. Credit & Debit Memo Documentation Prepare and process credit and debit memos in accordance with company policies. Ensure proper authorization and documentation for all adjustments. Maintain organized records for audit and reporting purposes. Reporting & Analysis Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable. Generate reports on receivables status, collection efforts, and cash flow projections. Support audits by providing requested documentation and explanations. Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and cash application processes. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
