Accountant Contract Position

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Salt Lake City, Utah. Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.
• Utilize QuickBooks to track and manage financial data effectively.
• Generate financial reports and statements to assist in strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Support audits by providing accurate records and documentation as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and conducting bank reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and compliance standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in a contract accounting role is a plus.
