Solomon Page
We are seeking a detail-oriented Docketing Clerk to join a growing legal team in Downtown Los Angeles. This role is a temp-to-perm opportunity with a true desire to convert to permanent (assuming the right fit for all) and there is already approval to add to headcount. Open to candidates early in their career but brings some prior docketing experience and familiarity with court filing systems. You'll thrive in this fast-paced environment if you are quick to learn, eager to take on responsibility, and able to adapt to the nuances of complex litigation support.
Temp rate: $37/hour (with overtime opportunities). Conversion to permanent role: $65,000-$75,000+ annually (depending on experience). Not including OT. Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 remote). Competitive benefits package offered upon conversion to permanent. Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive litigation docketing and calendaring support for attorneys and legal staff. Manage litigation deadlines and maintain the firm's docketing database. Prepare and coordinate docket calendar events for attorneys and paralegals. Review and process incoming litigation documents, including electronic filings, overnight deliveries, and court notices. Conduct research on State, Federal, Appellate, and Local Court rules. Ensure accurate deadlines and filings through court databases such as PACER (experience with additional docketing platforms also welcomed). Assist in preparing filings, coordinating with court services, and ensuring compliance with court rules. Generate reports on action items and due dates for litigation teams. Collaborate with case teams in advance of filings to ensure accuracy and timely submissions. Qualifications:
Some prior docketing experience strongly preferred. Experience with federal and state courts required. Familiarity with docketing software (PACER and others). Ability to pick up new processes quickly and adapt to a fast-paced team environment. Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Willingness to train with the right level of runway for growth. Bachelor's degree preferred.
If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
