Are you a certified EMT who thrives on offering genuine, heart-felt services? The Security team at Atlantic Shores is eager to meet you. Our secure community begins with our single controlled entrance, manned around the clock, and continues across campus with roving security staff and EMTs onsite to respond to emergencies.

Possible shifts include: 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights. Earn a competitive hourly rate based on years of experience.

Position Summary: The EMT Security Guard, in accordance with established policies and procedures, is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents, visitors, staff and protecting Community property. The EMT Security Guard responds to apartment alarms/emergencies, assists nursing staff in lifting residents to a safe position, and performs site and perimeter security rounds.

Education and/or Experience

High school education; or one year related experience and certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Must be CPR / AED certified.

Preferred Candidates Will Have

  • Current EMT certification.
  • Excellent customer services skills, patience, and a knack for meeting a wide range of personal needs.
  • Clear communication skills with a team-based mentality.
  • Competency in the operation of wheelchair lifts and lock down procedures.
  • Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly employees:
    • 1.5x Holiday Pay
    • 1.5x Overtime Pay for every hour worked over 40 hours per week
  • Full-time employees:
    • Generous PTO beginning with a maximum of 104 hours annually
