$60,000's annually Overview We are seeking a seasoned HR Coordinator to support a mid-sized federal contractor with multiple project and contract locations. This role will focus heavily on
leave and accommodation administration (FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, etc.) ,
benefits administration , and overall
compliance management . The HR Coordinator will also oversee the HRIS, annual open enrollment, reporting, and provide overall HR support across the sites,
while directly supporting the Vice President of HR with various requests, projects, and day-to-day needs . The ideal candidate will bring 5-7 years of HR experience with strong working knowledge of
leave laws and benefits administration , including
FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, and Workers' Compensation . Experience navigating compliance requirements, along with a detail -oriented and deadline-driven approach to managing HR operations. Key Responsibilities This is a key role that ensures employees are supported and the organization remains compliant across multiple contracts. Duties may vary. Leave Administration & Accommodations Administer and manage all aspects of FMLA, ADA, Short-Term Disability (STD), and Workers Compensation leaves, including: Determining eligibility, sending notices, tracking leave, and ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements. Managing the interactive process for ADA accommodations and coordinating return-to-work plans. Serving as liaison with benefits carriers and third-party administrators. Maintain accurate and confidential records of all leave and accommodation cases.
Employee Relations & Compliance Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers across multiple locations. Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, VEVRAA, and OFCCP requirements. Participate in internal and external audits; assist in preparing documentation and tracking compliance metrics. Conduct and document investigations related to employee concerns and policy violations.
Benefits Administration Support benefits administration including enrollment, qualifying life events, and annual open enrollment. Answer employee questions regarding benefits, retirement plans, and health and welfare programs.
Recruitment & Onboarding Support Support recruitment efforts Assist with new hire onboarding, including I-9 verification, security clearance paperwork, and orientation scheduling as needed.
HR Operations & Systems Maintain HRIS data accuracy and provide regular reporting for workforce metrics, EEO, and AAP reporting. Assist with policy development, updates, and communication across the organization. Maintain and audit personnel files to ensure required documentation is complete and compliant with federal regulations.
Training, Development & Performance Management Assist in managing performance evaluation cycles, performance improvement plans, and coaching initiatives. Assist in compliance training and employee development sessions.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or a combination of education and experience required. 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with direct exposure to FMLA/ADA/STD administration. Knowledge and experience with employment law. Experience with HRIS systems. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Working Conditions Full-time position, onsite role based in Monroe, OH Schedule Monday - Friday Occasional travel may be required for recruiting, audits, or training support
