Director of IT The
Director of IT
is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing the company’s global technology vision. This role leads
digital transformation ,
AI-driven innovation , and the
optimization of IT operations
across the U.S., Europe, and China. The Director will oversee global teams, manage strategic IT investments, and ensure that technology initiatives align with business objectives to drive growth, efficiency, and sustainability. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a global IT strategy that aligns with business objectives. Lead the integration of
Industry 4.0 technologies
such as IoT, AI, cloud computing, and digital twins. Modernize enterprise systems and create scalable IT frameworks to support international operations. Establish data governance policies ensuring data quality, security, and accessibility. Drive the use of advanced analytics to enable
data-driven business decisions . Cybersecurity & Risk Management Oversee global cybersecurity strategy, ensuring strong protection of company assets. Ensure compliance with regional and international data regulations. Develop and manage
disaster recovery
and
business continuity
plans. Lead IT budgeting, cost optimization, and resource allocation. Evaluate emerging technologies and manage a pipeline of
innovation-focused initiatives . Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology strategy. Manage organizational change by introducing new technologies and ensuring employee adoption through training and communication. Build a
scalable, standardized IT operating model
across the U.S., Europe, and China. Oversee relationships with global technology vendors, including
SAP, Microsoft, and Oracle . Introduce and implement AI solutions to improve
manufacturing efficiency
and
business decision-making . Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility Leverage IT to support sustainability initiatives, including
energy monitoring ,
emissions tracking , and
supply chain transparency . Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global IT team. Support
inclusive hiring practices , employee development, and continuous training. IT Governance & Best Practices Establish standardized IT policies, processes, and compliance frameworks. Continuously improve operational efficiency and technology effectiveness. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Software Adoption:
Increased utilization of enterprise software across all regions. Employee Readiness:
Growth in the number of employees trained and proficient in new technologies. Authority Direct and assign tasks to global IT teams. Recommend hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations across IT functions. Establish and enforce global IT policies and procedures. Approve enterprise software, ERP systems, and major IT hardware purchases worldwide. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 10+ years of IT leadership experience , including
5+ years in a manufacturing environment . Proven strategic leadership with the ability to connect technology initiatives to business value. Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to balance
long-term vision
with
day-to-day operational excellence . Physical Requirements Frequent international travel, including to developing regions. Ability to travel independently to global supply bases and manufacturing facilities. Must be comfortable walking and standing for extended periods during site visits. Seniority level
