To perform complex, often specialized, paraprofessional duties that require independent judgment to accomplish in support of the staff members and/or operations of an organizational unit or program. Work requires individual discretion in the application of policies and procedures. Duties increase in scope and complexity, and consist mainly of departmental-program duties. Advanced supervision is received from higher-level clerical and/or supervisory personnel. May supervise 1-2 lower-level personnel. Differs from Administrative Coordinator 3 by the presence of paraprofessional duties that involve a higher degree of specialization, complexity, and/or independent judgment. Identified core competencies include accepting direction, communicating effectively, displaying expertise, following policies and procedures, making accurate judgments, managing resources, and using data. Examples of work include performing responsible departmental-program duties, serving as a liaison between departments and customers, managing applications and compliance, preparing supplies requisitions, compiling reports, and assisting managers with administrative tasks. Minimum qualifications include three years of experience in administrative services. Experience can be substituted with college credits. Competencies include communicating effectively, displaying expertise, managing resources, and using data. Location: Livestock Show Office, Baton Rouge, LA.
