Job Overview
The Mary Katherine School is seeking both a Lead Toddler Teacher and a Lead Preschool teacher to join our growing team we have promoted from within and are looking to fill open roles. * Important Note: TMKS is fully enrolled and does not have space for parents looking to enroll their children. We cannot accept applicants looking to bring their children with to the school. Applicants MUST be lead teacher qualified. Hours : 8:30-5:30 M-F with a 1 hour unpaid break Pay: $23-$25/ hr depending on qualifications Benefits: 80 hours annual MN Safe and Sick Leave begins to accrue after 80 hours worked 40 hours unpaid absences permitted ( for a total of 120 hours absent annually.) 2 paid training days after 90 day trial period. 10 paid holidays after 90 day trial period. 40 hours paid vacation after 1 year of employment. No evenings No weekends Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, and physical education. Create lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, including those requiring special education and early intervention strategies. Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive learning atmosphere. Foster children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through interactive activities and play-based learning. Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and development. Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Collaborate with other educators to enhance the educational experience for all students. Ensure compliance with child welfare regulations and maintain a safe classroom environment. Requirements Bachelor's degree+ 6 months experience, Associates Degree+ 1 year experience, CDA+ 2 years experience . Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques. Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff. A passion for teaching and nurturing young minds while promoting their overall well-being.
