Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of heavy equipment, including excavators, cranes, and farm machinery. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and related systems. Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools. Repair or replace components such as transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, and suspension systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks. Ensure compliance with safety standards while operating heavy machinery. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used. Skills Dealership experience is preferred but not required. Proficient in automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, heavy equipment operation, and farm machinery. Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques. Experience with assembly, brake repair, shocks & struts, alignment, HVAC systems, and tire service. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks as required. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.
