Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive and heavy equipment repair, with experience in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues efficiently. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently as well as part of a team, ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are maintained to the highest standards. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles and heavy machinery, including excavators, cranes, and farm equipment. Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify mechanical problems and determine necessary repairs. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks. Work with schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems and perform necessary repairs. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles and equipment. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating heavy machinery and performing maintenance tasks. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle or equipment needs. Skills Dealership experience is preferred but not required. Proficient in automotive repair techniques including brake repair, transmission work, alignment, and suspension systems. Knowledgeable in diesel engine repair, HVAC systems, air brake systems, shocks & struts, hydraulics, and tire service. Experience with heavy equipment operation including tractors, trailers, forklifts, and industrial equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform assembly and equipment repair tasks efficiently. Familiarity with electrical systems and soldering techniques is a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects safely as required by the job duties. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a commitment to quality workmanship. Strong communication skills for effective customer service interactions.
