Avata Partners is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Litigation Secretary
to provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and legal terminology, and will assist in preparing legal documents, managing case files, and ensuring efficient office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery responses, and correspondence.
File legal documents with state and federal courts.
Maintain and organize case files, documents, and exhibits.
Assist in trial preparation, including compiling exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
Monitor deadlines and ensure timely filings and responses.
Communicate with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and other parties.
Perform administrative duties such as time entry, travel arrangements, and expense reports.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Salary Base pay range:
$85,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation secretary or in a similar legal support role.
Proficient in legal software (e.g., Microsoft Office, document management systems, e-filing platforms).
Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
