Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and provide accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule while maintaining high-quality standards. Duties Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other related documents. Utilize software tools such as Xactimate to create precise estimates and manage project data effectively. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to negotiate pricing and contract terms. Conduct thorough reviews of contracts to ensure compliance with project requirements and company policies. Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to maintain cost control and identify potential budget overruns. Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid documents and presenting estimates to stakeholders. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing to enhance estimating accuracy. Assist in the management of construction sites by providing insights on cost-effective practices and resource allocation. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management principles. Proficiency in using estimating software such as Xactimate is highly desirable. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Familiarity with contracts, pricing strategies, and cost control measures within the construction industry. Previous experience working on construction sites is preferred to better understand project dynamics. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
