Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC/R systems, with expertise in installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning units and related equipment. This role requires mechanical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in various environments. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems and related HVAC equipment. Troubleshoot issues using schematics and diagnostic tools to identify problems accurately. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance. Conduct field service calls to assess customer needs and provide solutions. Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, motors, and thermostats. Collaborate with construction teams on HVAC design for new installations. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for repairs as needed. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used. Adhere to safety protocols while working with refrigerants and other hazardous materials. Assist in plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems when necessary. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related fields. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance. Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Experience in appliance repair or property maintenance is advantageous. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Knowledge of boiler systems is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various settings.
