Position Summary:

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Generalist will be responsible for the timely and accurate execution of HR operational activities across a broad range of HR disciplines including:

Rewards and Recognition Operations Training

The successful individual will play a significant role in the strategic development and execution of team member engagement and internal communication at JACK Casino Cleveland.

Essential Functions

Team Member Engagement:

Service initiative support/implementation Partners with the Public Relations team to develop/create the weekly team member communication newsletter. Creates property communications for team member engagement, announcements, and other activities as needed Employee Community Involvement including JACK Cares initiatives Engagement events including Holiday celebrations, Employee feedback/update meetings with leadership, Team Town Halls/Rallies Assist with the property engagement activities as needed. i.e. monthly activities, annual activities Responsible for project management, establishing and meeting timelines, attention to detail and follow-through. Responsible for the execution of the JACK Royalty Rewards Recognition Program

Service Milestones Anniversary (Monthly) Team Member Birthdays (Monthly)

Assists to maintain all current channels of communication including email, communication boards, Facebook, intranet and back-of-house.

Recruiting & Operations

Partners with the Talent Acquisition team to assist with phone screenings, setting up interviews, coordinating new hire orientation, license application review/scheduling Assists team with setup/execution with job fairs, employment mixers, etc. Act as a backup for HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) as needed: i.e. password reset, UKG knowledge, mobile app setup, direct deposit, etc. Attend weekly property operations meeting to represent HR, and record meeting notes. Assists in general office duties; i.e. filing, supply ordering, etc.

Training

When needed, assist as back for Training & Development Specialist to facilitate new hire orientation. Assist team members with navigating the LMS system to complete any required training as assigned by the property training team.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must be able to work independently. Maintains upbeat, positive attitude, friendly and helpful demeanor, positive energy and enthusiasm from one interaction to the next Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts. Respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed. Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives. Ability to work with a high-level of integrity and adhere to Human Resources policies and procedures. Must be able to respond quickly to changing demands as needed. Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

Education And Experience

Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office, and experience with Canva At least 3 years of human resources experience required Experience in hospitality, retail, entertainment or other service business is preferred Excellent time management skills, and effectively manages own workload Must be 21 years of age.
