7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday Pay Range:

The

HR Generalist

plays a key role in supporting Hamstra Heating and Cooling's workforce by managing and overseeing various human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance in a one-person HR department setting. The position includes the integration of risk and safety management. This position ensures that HR policies and practices align with company values and support a positive workplace culture. The HR Generalist will work closely with leadership and employees to foster engagement, enhance retention, and maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations. Requirements

3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist role Certifications - SHRM-CP or HRCI-PHR Experience in a one-person department setting Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations End-to-end knowledge of recruitment process Experience with benefits administration Compliance and Policy management Experience in risk/safety/workers compensation management Performance & Employee relations management Strong skills in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook) HRIS software system experience a plus Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail Seniority level
