Seeking a CT Technologist with exceptional skills to perform diagnostic CT exams, verify patient identity, and review medical records. Primary responsibilities include interviewing patients to obtain and verify medical history, assessing risk factors, explaining procedures, setting up equipment, acquiring images, reviewing results, and communicating data to radiologists.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and clinical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Experience in operating specialized equipment and computers is also required. Additionally, the ability to work effectively in a complex environment, handle multiple priorities, and understand American College of Radiology requirements for accreditation is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT exams, verifying patient identity and reviewing medical records for appropriateness
- Interview patients to obtain, verify or update medical history and assess risk factors
- Set up equipment and acquire appropriate images according to script
- Review images, make initial observations, document exceptions from established protocols, and communicate data to radiologists
Qualifications:
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Computed Tomography (CT) preferred
- Required to have or successfully complete American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training by end of orientation period
- One or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology or advanced certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
