*The Opportunity* We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Attorney with 1–3 years of civil litigation experience to join our personal injury practice in Pleasant Hill. In this role, you will manage a diverse caseload from intake to trial, working with a dedicated and experienced team. This is an opportunity for a professional who is eager to take on significant responsibility, grow their litigation skills, and become a key member of a firm that values its employees and its clients.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Manage a personal injury caseload from initial intake and discovery through settlement, mediation, or trial. * Draft a range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses. * Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts. * Manage day-to-day case files, including client communication and correspondence. * Perform legal research to support case strategy and effective advocacy. * Collaborate with partners and the legal team to develop winning case strategies. * Represent clients in court proceedings and during negotiations.
*Qualifications*
* Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. * Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar. * 1–3 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on personal injury preferred. * Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills. * Strong communication and negotiation abilities. * Proficiency in case management software, and legal research platforms like LexisNexis. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team. * Willingness to travel for depositions, hearings, and trials as necessary.
