Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to join our Project Operations Department. The ideal candidate has a proven background in electrical construction, with strong leadership skills and experience managing multi-family and commercial ground-up projects.
The Project Manager will oversee project delivery from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring that all milestones, budgets, and schedules are achieved. This role requires a hands-on leader who can collaborate with field teams, general contractors, engineers, and vendors while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage project teams through effective communication, coordination, and accountability to achieve project goals.
Oversee project scope, schedules, and budgets; ensure alignment with contract requirements and company standards.
Establish and enforce project controls, quality plans, and reporting procedures.
Act as the primary point of contact with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, utilities, and inspectors.
Conduct and represent company at kickoff meetings, progress meetings, site walks, and project reviews.
Manage submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and change order processes.
Monitor project performance, proactively identify risks, and implement solutions to keep work on track.
Ensure compliance with Title 24, ADA, NEC, local building codes, and all applicable legal and safety regulations.
Maintain strong relationships with clients by addressing needs, resolving conflicts, and providing timely updates.
Support company training initiatives by mentoring and developing Assistant Project Managers and junior staff.
Collaborate closely with field leadership and superintendents to drive efficiency, safety, and productivity onsite.
Regularly report project financials, progress, and forecasts to executive leadership.
Adjust project priorities as needed to meet customer and operational requirements.
Promote company culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of electrical industry experience, with at least 2+ years as a Project Manager.
Demonstrated experience managing multi-family or large-scale commercial construction projects.
Strong knowledge of project scheduling, estimating, budgets, change orders, and contract administration.
Field experience working with construction management and coordinating multi-trade teams.
In-depth knowledge of NEC, ADA, Title 24, and local building/electrical codes.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in construction management software (Procore preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and analytical abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Valid Driver's License (required).
